Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from our turkeys to you and your family!

May your day be filled with family, good food and thankfulness!

Science Central

Where is the best place to learn all about Science? At Science Central of course! Learning about electricity has never been so exciting or shocking!

Warm November Day

How do we enjoy a 74 degree day in November? We study outside!

Recess Fun

We've been learning all about birds and nests in Science!

We have a nest right above our school door. How cool is that?

Trying to build a bird nest...

"This is MUCH harder than I thought it would be!"

Students gained a better appreciation and respect for birds through this activity.

"We'll leave nest building to the birds!"

Cells

It's "cell day" at school! There's no better way to learn about cells than building a fun model with jello!

This lesson fit in perfectly with our 2nd grade Language Arts class about following directions!

Ballet

We love having guests at Global Treehouse, but it’s extra special when our guest is a past student! Thank you so much for sharing your time, energy, and gift of ballet with our students!

Chinese Tea Party

Nothing brings History to life like hands-on activities.

If we study Chinese porcelain and Chinese tea - we better have a tea party!

Thanks to our guest for coming and spending the afternoon with us and teaching us all about China!

Apple Sauce

No Johnny Appleseed study is complete without homemade apple sauce!

Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkins, gourds, and straw rides - oh my!

We had a great time learning all about pumpkins at Kurtz Pumpkin Farm!!!

National Talk Like a Pirate Day

We pirates, we three, better pirates you'll never see!

Treasure maps and  spy glass telescopes will help us learn to read maps and trust our instincts.

(that's our neighbors, try again...)

Yo Ho Yo Ho, a pirate's life is the life for me!

The ship is rolling....dice that is. Math was fun today.

Ah Hoy Matey! Look there, land is but a day away.  Recess and imaginations, no better combination.

Seat work before the next activity...

of walking the plank!  Really, it was all about balance and gross motor skills.

What?! We're not having drama class today?!?

What pirate is complete without his/her pet parrot?

Well.... you get it... fun all day!

Disclaimer: No child was hurt during the activities of this day.
