Global Treehouse has been nothing short of amazing for our family. The small class size allows for one-on-one instruction at my child's pace. Emily was always challenged academically. She was encouraged to learn, grow, set goals, meet deadlines, and achieve what she set out to do. The social setting was a benefit as well. Because she was one of the younger students in her level, she was often working with students ahead of her socially and academically. This gave her a maturity and confidence beyond her years.
There are many objective outcomes that we received by sending Emily to GTH: reading and problem solving beyond her grade level, ability to set goals and meet deadlines, positive interaction with other students, and high standardized test scores. However, there are also many benefits that you won't find in other learning environments that are more subjective: the willingness to help others less fortunate, the ability to speak intelligently and confidently to adults, and an understanding of the world around her. These are things that you will not find in other learning centers.

Regarding Global Treehouse (GTH) and Alex and Rhonda:
Maggie and I explored five or six different schools, including Canterbury, for Liam's fifth grade year. I am absolutely certain that in choosing GTH we chose correctly. GTH was the best possible school and place for him. The personal, loving, human attention he received from Alex and Rhonda was just what he needed to develop as a happy and healthy person and learn how to access and achieve his potential academically.
Thanks again, Alex (and Rhonda) for helping Liam find a good way forward in life, emotionally and academically. Your work has made all of our lives so much better.
