Lindenwood

I remember exactly what I woke up to on the morning of September 22nd. I opened my eyes to a bright, clear, beautiful sunny day. While I legitimately wanted to spend the day teaching- I didn't want to be held captive in a room all day while the last day of summer escaped.  As the students and I began a typical day of school, it became obvious that we were all feeling the same way. One of the joys of our schooling is that we are not confined by strict regulations. While learning is our ultimate and main priority, sometimes God gives us a beautiful day to make learning more enjoyable.  With the parents' permission, we were off to Lindenwood for an afternoon of trekking in the woods, stumbling upon a baby snake, reading by a pond, and studying history.  It was a perfect way to close the door on summer.
